EXPLORE

Students are prepared for college and for life at Cascia Hall, a Catholic, Augustinian school for students of all faiths in grades 6-12. The Augustinian Values of Truth, Unity, and Love guide the faculty, staff, and student body in their daily lives.

EDUCATING THE WHOLE PERSON

Cascia Hall seeks to educate the whole person by balancing challenging academics with excellent opportunities in athletics, the arts, and community service. With a student/teacher ratio of 9:1, students are related to as individuals, resulting in higher motivation and levels of success.

Preparation for college begins in grade 6 with a seamless traditional liberal arts curriculum through grade 12. Each class is aligned year after year to create pathways for students to reach their goals. Students in grades 6-8 have opportunities to earn high school credit in math, science, and foreign language. Students in grades 9-12 can earn college credit in the extensive Advance Placement program. College level courses are available to upperclassmen through concurrent enrollment.

One hundred percent of Cascia Hall students matriculate to college following graduation. On average, seniors are offered more than $7 million in achievement-based scholarships.

MISSION

OUR IDENTITY:

Cascia Hall is a Catholic, Augustinian, college-preparatory school serving the spiritual, intellectual, personal, social, and physical development of young people from the Tulsa area in grades six through twelve.

OUR MISSION:

Flowing from this identity, Cascia Hall strives…

  • to live and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ while welcoming students of all faiths and to journey together toward Truth in accord with the Catholic tradition and the teachings of St. Augustine, as interpreted by the Order of St. Augustine through the centuries,

  • to develop the individual within a community of diverse backgrounds and experiences, leading to Unity with one another and, ultimately, with God, and

  • to instill a love of learning, of each other, and of God that expresses itself in servant leadership to the Church and the world.

OUR VISION:

As we approach our 100th anniversary, Cascia Hall will focus on helping its students...

  • to integrate faith and values more fully into their lives as they move toward college and beyond,

  • to think critically, creatively, and collaboratively and to develop increasing abstraction and application in their learning,

  • to appreciate and contribute to an increasingly diverse society, and

  • to use new technologies responsibly and creatively to enhance their lives and communities.

 PHILOSOPHY

The goals of Cascia Hall are to assist students in:

  • Realizing that union with God is the ultimate reason for being

  • Accepting God as the ultimate goal for all love and the ultimate ground of truth

  • Organizing a Catholic Christian value system for further development in adult life

  • Forming and experiencing Christian community

  • Learning to think critically

  • Developing the ability to move from sense data to abstraction

  • Mastering the knowledge and skills necessary to perform well at the university level

  • Developing skills for lifelong learning

Cascia Hall is a Roman Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory school for grades six through twelve, and is owned and operated by the Augustinian Order. Therefore, the life and philosophy of St. Augustine of Hippo are the foundation of Cascia Hall’s approach to education.

Since men and women are created in the image of God, Cascia Hall wishes to foster a respect for the talents, abilities, sincere beliefs, wholesome visions, and goals of all persons.

The pursuit of truth is one of the principal purposes of the school. Students begin their search for truth by moving from sense data through various levels of abstraction toward the ultimate Truth, God. They are united with their teachers in this common task to know, understand, and appreciate truth.

Cascia Hall considers the liberal arts as primary vehicles for the kind of understanding fundamental to Augustinian schools. The curriculum is structured in a logical sequence so as to best prepare the student for college and thereafter for a lifetime of learning.

Cascia Hall teachers are encouraged to see themselves as not only imparting information and ideas but also as profoundly respecting their students. This respect is often expressed by the teacher’s patiently waiting for students to compare new information with their own inner dictates of truth. Expanding new understanding then allows the student to embrace new ideas enthusiastically.

Classrooms or academic learning is not the only concern of the school’s education. Learning which takes place in social settings, on the athletic fields, during religious exercises, and through social service is all part of the student’s complete education. These various learning situations foster interpersonal relationships, community building, a sense of teamwork, and a commitment to others; at the same time, these situations lead students to a realization of their responsibilities as citizens.

Of great importance at Cascia Hall is nurturing and building a bond of love which sustains the Cascia family. For it is within this caring family and through loving relationships that students are drawn to a close union with the ultimate love, God.

 NEWS

Dear Sons and Daughters of Saints Peter and Paul,

With great joy and deep gratitude to Almighty God, I share with you that it is a true honor to begin my new mission as Pastor of this wonderful community of Saints Peter and Paul. While I am newly appointed as Pastor, I do not feel like a stranger; rather, it feels like I am coming back home. In this Sunday’s Gospel, we hear that Jesus appointed 72 disciples and sent them out in pairs to prepare the way for Him. This speaks profoundly to our parish, which has been blessed with two priests for most of the last 30 years. By now, you may have learned that I have been assigned to this parish without an associate pastor to assist in shepherding the community. Yet the Gospel reminds us: “The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few. So ask the Master of the harvest to send out laborers for His harvest.” My friends, I want to assure you, I do not stand alone. With the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ and your faithful support, we will continue the mission entrusted to us. It is our mission, and the Lord has called us together to be faithful. And if we are faithful, by His grace, we will also be fruitful and successful. I look forward to walking with you and growing in holiness together.
